Heirloom Tomato Seed

Saving tomato seed  and growing the same variety each year has always been an important part of Appalachian gardening.  Most families only grew one tomato variety and it was used for fresh eating, canning and making juice.  Because these tomatoes were grown year after year, the best plants were selected for seed.  Gardeners unknowingly improving these varieties, selecting for soil adaptation and disease resistance.

We are happy to offer some of our favorite Appalachian varieties for others to enjoy.   USA sales only
